MALE CIRCUMCISION EFFECTS WOMEN, TOO! If you have already read the page, Foreskin Function, you understand how. Unfortunately in the United States, this aspect of sexuality is deeply misunderstood. Women who have never been with an intact man, and may have never even seen one, state their preference for a circumcised man with conviction. Their word, which supports a cultural norm, the egos of those who had no say in their own loss and those who profit from circumcision, is taken as the gospel.
I'm not saying that there aren't women who have experienced both and do prefer a circumcised penis. There are women who prefer sadomasochism, too, but that doesn't make it the norm. It also does not make it acceptable to alter an infant or child's sexuality to conform to a parent or a potential future partner's perverted preference.
The majority of women who have experienced both prefer the intact penis. Women from other cultures where circumcision is not practiced (85% of the world does not perform routine circumcision) are frequently horrified by circumcision and are at a loss as to how to manipulate the penis when its only moving part is missing.
Many women who have only been with a circumcised partner experience problems due to his circumcision, but because of ignorance on the subject, blame themselves. Rough, dry, pounding sex is not natural and the vagina is not made to endure it.
Circumcision effects women as mothers, too. It interferes with breast-feeding and the mother/child bonding process itself. The infant, who looks to his mother to protect him, has been betrayed.
Following are the voices of women regarding various aspects of male circumcision.

If one person, just one person, had told me not to do it, I would have second guessed it and done my research and not have had it done.
From Around the Bend: Unforeseen Sexual Consequences of Infant Circumcision ...
There have been plenty of moments where he has been so frustrated over this choice his Mom thought she had the right to make so many years ago. Thirty-seven years later- HER preference means absolutely nothing and we suffer with the side effects.
From Foreskin In The Bedroom: One Woman's Love Affair With An Intact Penis ...
My husband's foreskin has been, since the beginning, a part of him that I fell instantly in love with. Just as I adore his heart thumping beneath my palm and the scratch of his stubble on my cheek, I love his foreskin.
From Circumcised or Uncircumcised: Does It Matter in Sex? ...
Since that first relationship with an uncircumcised man, I've gone on to do more, er, field research, and I've anecdotally found that the intact make fabulous lovers. Here's why ...
From Women Are Victims, Too ...
When my husband and I got engaged, I discovered he was circumcised and had no issue with it...I just expected it I guess. We both remained virgins until our wedding night. I was expecting our first time to be awesome. I thought it *might* hurt a little since I was a virgin, but we were both frustrated and disappointed we couldn't even enjoy intercourse on our wedding night because it hurt so much. The honeymoon didn't get much better, and I was sore and just didn't want to even have sex any more. Even as I got used to it, we had to use tons of lubrication just to take the burning, and rubbing pains away. There was no way I was going to be able to orgasm from intercourse.
From How Circumcision Impacted My Life ...
I wish my story ended there and I could say he healed up fine and has not had any issues since the pain of healing. Sadly, that is not the case ...
From Information on circumcision: to cut or not to cut, that is the question ...
Many years ago, my best friend (who is an intact male) said to me, ‘If you ever circumcise a male child, I won’t be your friend anymore.’ I thought he was harsh, and possibly crazy, but ten years later I found myself pregnant with twins. Luckily I now live in a country where circumcision isn’t offered – and it’s not even talked about. The ONLY mention of it in the last twelve years I’ve lived here has been a sign in my current doctor’s office stating that two of the doctor refuse to refer babies for religious circumcision.
From Whole or Circumcised; Does It Really Matter? ...
I feel confused and start to question keeping our little guy whole. What about our firstborn son? Will he feel weird because he is circumcised and our second son isn’t? How is that “fair?” Within days I realize that way of thinking is completely ridiculous. I cannot allow the guilt I feel over circumcising my first son, C, push me into circumcising our second son to prevent questions and having to be honest about what I chose for him. We decide not to circumcise.
